Homemade Ladies Halloween Costume Ideas - How to Be Fascinatingly Scary on Halloween

Every a year, Halloween is celebrated through festivities and merrymaking. This holiday is not complete without parties, costumes, trick or treat and watching horror films. Due to this, you are probably searching for the best and most unique looking costume to be a blast on your upcoming holiday party. If you are looking for the best ladies Halloween costume to wear to the masquerade ball, here are some great ideas to help you come up with a sexy number that can surely arrest the attention of others.

Gory Halloween Decorations

This is the party of the year where anything goes and like everybody else, you'd want this to be a success. You can make the dress to wear on this party yourself at home. Check on the following tips.

Gory Halloween Decorations

Appear as a Backstabbed Beauty Queen. Wear a nice pageant dress and a tiara and wear a sash using a wide ribbon. With make-up, give yourself a bloody nose and a matching black-eye. Use a fake knife with the point cut off. Tape it to a piece of cardboard then tape the cardboard to your body. To make the illusion that you were stabbed, carefully cut a hole in the dress so that the knife handle is sticking out.

Be a bag lady. Using plastic bags or paper bags create a set of clothes held together by tape. This is an easy enough dress to make and can even be a way to make an environmental statement.

Bag of jellybeans - you will need two or three dry-cleaning bags for this number. Put one bag inside the other then punch a hole on each side. The holes should be enough for your legs. Get some different colored balloons, about 15 to 20, and blow them up. Step into the dry-cleaning bags and with you inside it, stuff it with the blown up balloons. Tie the bag off around your neck with a ribbon.

Bubble bath - here you will be wearing white, blue or pink clothes with matching small balloons attached. On your head is also a matching cap with balloons. For effect, carry with you a rubber ducky, a back scrubber or hang some soap on your belt.

Burned out - take an unused work shirt and carefully and artfully burn some holes in it. With make-up, put dark circles around your eyes and wear your hair frazzled.

You can come up with other ladies Halloween costume ideas that will surely stand out in any party. All you need to have is enough imagination and a flair for improvisation.

Halloween Makeup Ideas - Why Do People Dress Up For Halloween?

This Halloween, as you think through your Halloween makeup ideas and brilliant costumes, have you ever paused to wonder why dressing up for Halloween is so popular?

Gory Halloween Decorations

We all know the tradition of Halloween. The Celts in Ireland believed that on October 31st, the last day of the year, the boundary to the netherworld of demons and spirits would be opened. To protect themselves, people disguised themselves as spirits, one of the supernatural beings of the night.

Gory Halloween Decorations

This tradition was brought to America in the 1800s, and has since then been heavily commercialized and updated for the times. Now we see the latest characters from TV or movies walking the streets after dark on Halloween. But why has this festival's popularity endured so well over the years?

Think back to your childhood Halloween. The thrill of putting on Halloween makeup and going with your friends, their scary Halloween faces shining in the lamplight, being someone else.

This is the one day of the year that adults get to indulge that fantasy of being someone they are not. Their alter-ego if you like. Is it the darker parts of our psyches that are brought to light in Halloween?

On one level it seems absurd. What would make an attractive woman smear fake blood from a rusty nail in her skull, an attractive guy skulk behind a Hulk mask? Shunning the way we normally present our appearance to the world, who does not enjoy being made up to look revolting, or scary, or terrifying or ghoulish? Why do we do that? It seems absurd on one level.

Yet this is the part of the exercise that is most interesting. Adults can say things they normally wouldn't, act as a character totally different from themselves. The most introverted guy can brandish a sword with abandon, the normally shy girl from the office can strut like a pirate wench. There is a safety in anonymity, a hiding from the world while displaying to the world a different face.

Now I hope that has given you some ideas to ponder as you put on your Halloween makeup this year.

Create Your Own Halloween Sound Effects Cd

Making a Halloween hit list is as easy as toasting bread when you follow these tips and tricks. If you've got a CD burner then you're all set. If you don't then you can download one of those free "jukebox" players and use your PC to blast your tunes.

Gory Halloween Decorations

1. Pick your sounds

Gory Halloween Decorations

There are a lot of free scary sounds available on the Internet. You can start your search here for some great Halloween sounds. Then grab some midi's from this site, and this site and you should have a good library of basic gory sounds. If you're still in need of some hair raising effects then you can find some real classic sound bites from the greatest horror movies right here.

Some of these moans, groans and screams are pretty short, so you might want to queue them up in succession a few times for more effect.

2. Now use your CD burner software to start building your play list.

o Pick the sounds that will be used as transitions between songs.

o Add songs from your existing CD's if you're creating a party dance track.

o Play it through a few times and fine-tune your sound effect placements and play order.

o Burn your CD!

If you want to make a scary sounds CD for haunted house use as well as a dance track for a Halloween party, then create two play lists. One will feature just the scary sounds and the other can be a full mix of music and sound.

If you don't have any appropriate Halloween music on CD, then take a trip over to Napster and grab their Halloween Bash soundtrack. It's worth the effort.

Make your sound track as unique as you are. Your PC software does all of the hard work. All you have to do is play it until you like it and then burn it.

Happy Halloween!

Halloween Cupcake Ideas

I like to use Halloween cupcake ideas when I am decorating my cupcakes. It's never too early to begin planning your Halloween party menu...I find new ideas all year long. Sometimes I find a great, scary food idea in a magazine or cookbook. Some I find on web sites and some I actually discover as I am making a new recipe for my family. Any time I see a new food or spice I can use with my Halloween cupcake decorating ideas I write it in the Halloween section of my recipe file...and I put it right on the first card in that section so I know exactly where my new decorating ideas are. I used to stick it in the file under the food name, but I couldn't remember where I put it when I wanted to try using it in a gory looking food dish.

Gory Halloween Decorations

I love cupcakes and that's why I always focus on them for my Halloween desserts. They are quick, easy, fun to make and easy to find decorating ideas for. You can use candy, bubble gum, or store bought decorations to make a fun dessert for your costume party. Your party guests will be so amazed when they see the scary food ideas you have combined to make the worst, best Halloween buffet table they have ever seen!

Gory Halloween Decorations

Scary cupcake ideas are simple. How about making a giant spider on top, or a one eyed monster...like in Monsters vs Aliens! There are great tools to use when you are decorating cupcakes. Picks with a funny or scary ghost on them or a picture of your favorite monster, like Frankenstein or Count Dracula. There are also fairies, like Tinkerbell, or cute little pumpkins. These picks are very easy to use, just insert them into your cake. You're done...see how easy it is.

There are also edible images you can buy. These edible images are made on frosting or rice paper and you can put any picture or character you like on them. You just place these on the frosted cake and once again, you are done. Another very easy cupcake decorating idea and you don't even have to know what your doing to make these look great! You can buy little plastic spiders, or spiders made out of sugar, if you really like the spider idea.

One of my favorite and fun cupcake decorating ideas is to make your own design out of candies you can buy at the corner store. Chocolate chips or M & M's make great eyes, or if you like they sell gummy eyeballs around Halloween, so use them. They look great. You can use red frosting or gel in a tube to make your eyeball cupcake look like it's a little bloodshot. That will make it look scarier. You can use a mini vanilla wafer coated in chocolate as a spider body and some black string licorice as spider legs.

The best part is once you begin to design your own cupcakes, whether you use picks, edible toppers or candies, you get more ideas on how to do things. Stick pretzels become legs, white icing with a chocolate chip in the middle becomes an eye...before you know it, you are going to see cupcake decorating ideas everywhere!

Go bake a batch of cupcakes, get some candies and frosting and see what you can come up with. It's fun, it's cheap and it's a great way to spend some real quality time with your kids. By the time October rolls around you are going to have so many Halloween cupcake ideas, you are going to have to sign up as your kid's Class Mother and host some school parties, to use all your ideas!

Adult Halloween Party Planning

Halloween is not only a time for kids to dress up but also many adults can't resist the chance to also dress up. So why not take advantage of this urge and invite friends and neighbors to a party.

Gory Halloween Decorations

Make the theme for the night a mystery theme such a haunted dinner with a "who done it" murder theme complete with corpse etc. Be creative and have a series of clues that point to one of the guests as the murderer. At sometime during the night ask for opinions as to who is the murderer and why the guest thinks that they have nailed the murderer.

Gory Halloween Decorations

If you plan such a party then create invitations that are formal and in keeping with the occasion. They can be in the form of a Gothic order written in fake blood and sealed with a wax stamp. Even the stamp can be symbolic of Halloween

How about having a masquerade dinner and ball. To set up you'll need plenty of dark lights and candles. If one of the guest has had a kids party then you can make use of their cobwebs, spiders and other creepy decorations. These can be draped over the dining room table and chairs. The only other colors besides black should be orange and red.

Besides the normal Halloween decorations of pumpkins and ghosts that were used for the children you can add some more gory decorations. How about lots of fake blood, rubber body parts, scary insects, various forms of ooze and slime and anything else that is scary.

For dinner you could have a pumpkin theme. This could include pumpkin soup, serve the main dish on hollowed out pumpkin shells, mashed pumpkin and potatoes, pumpkin pie, stewed pumpkin and apples, and even a drink based on pumpkin juice.

Prior to dinner you can have Halloween shaped munchies. If you are not on the pumpkin theme for dinner then a ghoulish soup could be cream of tomato embedded with olives that look like eyeballs and pasta shaped like fingers.

Before and during dinner you can have some gothic music of Benedictine or Gothic chants or soundtrack from a Harry Poter movie so as to set a haunted tone. After dinner more lively music can include "Black Magic Woman", "Thriller", "Goblin Girls", etc.

When it comes to costumes the internet is full of ideas. One of the best suggestions and least expensive is to look around your house and at your old clothes and then with a little creativity you can fashion a unique costume. Don't forget water soluble makeup and markers can add to the effect. If you are not certain what you represent then make it a guessing game at the party. It should be good for a few laughs.

Halloween was first designed to keep the dead away from destroying both the crops and the living, on the eve of All Hallows Day. It was believed that on this night there is a blurring of the line between the living and the dead. This is why people dressed up in costumes and acted in a way that was meant to scare away the dead.

Traditional crops at this time were pumpkins and apples. Both are part of the food of Halloween. Apples were also used in games such as bobbing for apples, eating an apple hanging by a string without using ones hands, skinning the apple to see who can make the longest skin, and also dropping the skin and making up a story or prediction based on the apparent shape or letter formed by the skin.

Halloween parties can be quite involved so a detailed plan, of everything that is needed, of who is helping to set up, of who is bringing what and also having a take down and take away plan. This will involve more than one person so responsibilities have to be assigned and checked off once completed. One good thing is that most items can be prepared well before the day of the party.

Have a ghoulish time.

How To Create A Haunted House This Halloween

Have you ever been to one of those spooktacular haunted houses that people set up in the neighborhoods during Halloween? I'll bet you have and, if you're like the rest of us gruesome ghouls, you've been chomping at the bit to make one for yourself. We'll stop chomping and start reading because I'm going to take you through the "basics on a budget" spending as few dollars as possible.

Gory Halloween Decorations

Effect is everything with a Halloween Haunted House

Gory Halloween Decorations

And that effect should begin before the unlucky visitors to your house of horrors even step foot inside.

Outside Effects

Start by making sure that any windows which face the front of the house have been blacked out from inside. Black plastic garbage bags work fine. You may have to split them or double them up but they're cheap enough. Black plastic shower curtains can often be found in the dollar stores. Grab a lot if you can find them because we'll be using them later.

Replace your porch and outside lights with blue, red, or orange bulbs. A black light works great on the porch if you have some glow-in-the-dark critters or effects you can place nearby. If your street is well lit then the black light effect is reduced, so save your money in that case.

Portable spot or flood lights with colored bulbs can be aimed at your roof or door to add additional lighting effects. If you have some Tiki Torches left over from the summer then place them strategically up and down the front walk.

Wal-Mart and the better Dollar Stores have Halloween lights that are a lot like Christmas lights but have little pumpkins or cats on each bulb. They're cheap and you can string them around railings and lay them in bushes. Of course you'll need some black cats, jack-o'-lanterns and fake spider webs hanging from the porch.

Decorate your front door to look like a coffin. It's a great effect. You can also buy the Styrofoam grave stones to put on your lawn or you can make them yourself out of spare lumber and some black or grey paint. Don't forget the scary music, wolf howls plus some moans and groans

Inside the Front Door

When your gory guests first set foot inside your haunted house, set the tone for the remainder of their visit by having a body hanging from the inside light fixture or some other convenient point of death. Stuff a pair of jeans and an old shirt like you're making a scarecrow. You can use an empty bleach container for the face and cut out or paint on the features. Top it off with an old hat. Or, as an alternative, hang a huge papier-mâché bat instead of the dead guy. Don't forget plenty of plastic spiders and webs.

If there are rooms or staircases leading from the entryway which are not part of the tour, cover them with those extra shower curtains that I told you to get, or use more garbage bags. If you have a friend who is a cop, see if you can score some crime scene tape to wrap around off-limit areas. Hey, the local PD might even donate some if you agree to put up a sign somewhere thanking them for their assistance. Police Departments have community outreach officers so they're the ones to call.

The remainder of the house

Close off doors to rooms where you don't want visitors to go. Decorate the doors to look like coffins, or hang ghoulish effects over them. You can also block them off using black plastic or shower curtains. Most visitors won't even know that the doors are there. Doors to off-limit rooks are also great places to station your human ghoul helpers who will be jumping out and scaring the dickens out of your guests. Just make sure that they know to never actually touch anyone. That can open you up to a lot of legal problems and it might get them into a fist-fight with a visitor with no sense of humor.

Create you inside effects by using dark and colored lighting in each room. Black light sensitive decorations work great inside but only if you have black light bulbs installed!

Sprinkle gruesome props throughout your rooms. You can make great bloody hands by filling surgical gloves up with sand, tying the open end off with a rubber band, and then some "blood" effects with red paint Dry ice creates great fog effects but it will burn the skin if touched so don't leave it where guests can get at it.

Hang creepy things from the ceilings. Wet (not dripping wet) yarn feels really creepy when it brushes across someone's face as they are entering a dark room. Spirtz it throughout the night to keep it wet. Remember that most fishing line will react to black lights so use black thread instead.

Walk through each room as if you were a visitor. Fill in empty areas with appropriate props. Re-walk the house several times until you are 100% happy. Remember that you have a lot of flammable things in your haunted house. Candles, smoking and lighted flames of any type are off limits! Keep several a fire extinguishers handy and spread them around the house. Make sure that your helpers know how to use them. Also make sure that each helper has a flashlight and knows where the room's light switches are in case anyone gets hurt or a young child becomes too frightened to continue the tour.

That's it. You're on your way to having the dream haunted house that you've always wanted. Better get busy. It will be Halloween before you know it.

It's Halloween Party Time!

Are you thinking about having a Halloween party this year? Halloween is the second most celebrated holiday in the US. Christmas is the first and second is October 31st. And why not, with all the costumes, decorations and spooky fun ideas you can use, it is easy to plan a spooky celebration for your kids or your friends. I love to drive around during the month of October to see all the fun decorating ideas people use. It is fun to come up with unique Halloween decorations year after year, and it is also fun to check out everyone else. I think the costumes get better each year too, don't you?

Gory Halloween Decorations

Don't worry about how to plan a Halloween party, it is easy. You can find free guide books to help you plan every detail. Right from choosing the theme and the party invites to what spooky food ideas are easy to make. You will also get to choose from several scary games, well, they are funny, scary games. Take all the stress out of your holiday party planning. Do you know what that means? It means you are going to have as much fun as your party guests!

Gory Halloween Decorations

How Do I Plan a Halloween Party

How easy is it to say, A B C? That's how easy planning your Halloween celebration is going to be. You just need to figure out the basics of planning a party. So...how many people do you want to invite to your get together? Where will you have it and how many guests will fit there comfortably?

Now, for the theme of the party. Halloween is perfect for a costume party, a fortune telling party or a horror movie marathon. Or you can just ask everyone over for a game night.

Party Invitations

You can make or buy your party invites. To make your own fold a piece of black paper in half and cut it. Then fold each half. Put some Halloween stickers on them, glue in a piece of light orange paper with your party details on it and you've just made some party invites. Or buy some you like, perhaps they will match your party supplies and then fill in all the pertinent information. Send them out...make sure you put down an RSVP number. This way your guests can call and you will have a pretty firm guest count. That will help you to prepare the right amount of food. You can also use an online invitation site like Evite and send out e-invitations.

Decorating Ideas

Next, it's time to plan your Halloween decorations. This is the really fun part of party planning. I go online and window shop at all of the party supply catalog sites. It is easy to pick the theme I like, the costume I want to wear and even get some fun and easy party decorating tips. I can also find lots of Halloween supplies on sale in the clearance sections of these sites. Pick out your favorite, it might be a pumpkin or a witch or a bloody scary looking design. You will find plates, cups, napkins and even some decorations to match. Pick out what you need.

Spooky, Fun Food Ideas

With your party supplies on the way it is time to plan a menu for your celebration. Will you decide upon movie food or are you going to set up a scary buffet table. You can find lots of gory and gross Halloween party food ideas. Ideas like Deviled Eggs that look like eyeballs or a cake that has a graveyard scene on it. There are even molds you can use to make jello that looks like a severed hand or a brain. Add some raisins to your ice cube trays and it will look like there are bugs in the drinks. Yep, gross, but funny on Halloween.

Wear Some Costumes

Are you planning a dress up costume party? Get some fun little prizes to hand out to your guests who come in disguise. Use categories like best costume, the most funny costume, a really big costume or the smallest costume. Plan on having music and call your party a Monster Mash. Play some Horror Movie Trivia and give out bloodied popcorn as a prize. That is popcorn with melted butter that has some red food coloring in it. Vampires are always a fun theme for a Halloween party. The Twilight Saga, The Vampire Diaries and True Blood are all fun party themes to use if you like the bloodsucker theme. You can also go goth and dress up in dark Victorian vampire costumes. What ever theme you decide to go with, you are going to love hosting a Halloween party. They are just frightfully fun for everyone.

Party Goods for Halloween

Halloween is coming up and you'll find that, especially this time of year, you'll need more party goods than ever. Halloween is such an involved holiday. It is both extremely fun because of all the make believe involved and also can be quite harrying. Those throwing parties will certainly be rushing around to get all their ghouls in place, so to speak.

Gory Halloween Decorations

Luckily party goods are made to fill just this partying need for Halloween. You'll find the basic necessities such as themed tablecloths, napkins, silverware, plates, and pumpkins along with all those wonderful extras that make the holiday so creepy. Are you going to try and scare some trick-or-treaters?

Gory Halloween Decorations

Since Halloween involves an outdoor activity such as trick-or-treat, the practice of decorating the porch and front lawn is almost a requirement. Almost everyone has a Jack-O-Lantern on their porch. Those who want to go further can find decorations to literally turn their front yard into a cemetery. Styrofoam grave markers are very popular to stick on the lawn and usually they are also very funny, coming with funny epitaphs on them like, 'Here lies Captain D. He had bad seafood.'

Other ingenious decorative accents include fake spider webs, with rubber spider included, plastic skulls and skeletons of all kinds, scary laughter music discs and other gory objects.

To add a cool touch to your party you can also string up some glowsticks tubes. Glowsticks give off a phosphorescent light and come in several colors such as purple, green and blue and you can connect together longer glowsticks necklaces to make a chain or garland to hang up around the party area. You can also give out glowsticks as party favors or instead of candy to trick-or-treaters.

You can purchase special balloons that look like UFO's for your party or you can get balloons with scary faces on them. There are also a lot of streamer and confetti type products themed after Halloween which you can scatter around your party for festive fun.

The Gory Roman History Of St Valentine's Day

Ancient Rome is riddled with unique traditions. None can be more strange than the beginnings of St. Valentine's Day. Though it was not named a holiday at the time, once a year, for a teenage male to reach his rights of passage (to the God Lupercus) he had to choose a name from a box. In the box were the names of all the teenage girls in the village. She was his for a year. Not until 800 years later did the church terminate this ceremony. It turned out it was a celebration of a man named Christian Priest named Valentine.

For eight centuries, the practice later known as Valentine's Day was a cruel Roman ritual, actually a lottery of sorts. It all started in the 4th Century B.C.. A post-puberty young man's right to passage was to the God Lupercus. Names of teenage women were drawn from a box by the young men and they were assigned the woman for a year to do with as he pleased, within the restraints of Roman culture which were rather lax at the time. Finally in 4 A.D the early church leaders stopped the cruel practice after an evaluation of how it had been created in the first place.

The event turned out to be a celebration of a good man, a priest and bishop named Valentine who lived near Rome in the mid to late second century. During this time Emporer Claudius 11 had outlawed marriage as he felt it made his soldiers weak, and he needed the strongest men available. After all, Rome was crumbling.

Secret hidden weddings had been performed by St. Valentine after he noticed the pain and suffering experienced by young lovers wanting to unite. He was soon caught and executed but not before Claudius tried to convert him, to save him from being terminated, to believe in the Roman gods, which Valentine would not change his Christian beliefs.

Valentine's execution date was February 24th, 270.

While Valentine was in prison awaiting his fate, he came in contact with his jailer, Asterius. The jailer had a blind daughter. Asterius requested him to heal his daughter. Through his faith he miraculously restored the sight of Asterius' daughter. Just before his execution, he asked for a pen and paper from his jailer, and signed a farewell message to her "From Your Valentine," a phrase that lived ever after.

Valentine was later named a Patron Saint, and spiritual overseer of an annual festival. The festival involved young Romans offering women they admired, and wished to court, handwritten greetings of affection on February 14. The greeting cards acquired St.Valentine's name.

As Christianity grew, so did the popularity of the Valentine's Day card, and is now Valentine's Day celebrated worldwide. Of course is a nonsectarian holiday celebrated by almost all faiths, and people of none. One of the earliest Valentine's cards was sent in 1415 by Charles, Duke of Orleans, to his wife while he was a prisoner in the Tower of London. The card is displayed at the British Museum.

I only found out the origins of Valentine's Day today, and found it quite interesting. So what I decided to do was add a "Sex, Love, & Relationship" section to my main gift shop, and mark everything down up to 80% just through Valentine's day, just to make the Patron Saint proud. It can include a gift card and the customer does not have to sign it "From Your Valentine" but can if he/she wishes.

Cartoonist and history buff Rick London has marked down to 80% all his sex, love, and relationship gifts just for Valentines Day. He owns Funny Gift Shops My Funny Valentine Gifts, and http://www.LTSuperstore.com.

Halloween Graveyard - Make a Cemetery in Your Front Yard

You can build a Halloween graveyard in your front yard...or back yard if you like! A graveyard scene is one of the coolest decorations you can make in October. What a great way to add to the spooky, fun feeling we all get around Halloween! Now, let's find out how you can make a scary cemetery scene right in you very own yard.

Gory Halloween Decorations

First, don't wait until the very last minute! Some graveyards can be quite elaborate, and you won't be able to do that in a few days. Plan out what you want your boneyard to look like. You can plan how many tombstones you want and where you want to put them to make your potters field as ghoulish as you can.
If you are creating your very first Halloween graveyard, keep it simple this time. When you are more experienced you can build a more elaborate burying ground.

It's Easy to Build a Graveyard

An easy way to build a graveyard scene is to make your own headstones from cardboard. Cut the card board in a tombstone shape and paint it gray. Think of funny epitaphs to write one each one. Bill is dead, the end, or Bill was a liar when he was alive, and now all he does is lie. Or write some funny names on them I.B. Dead or U. R. Next. Hang a sign that says "Welcome to Necropolis".

Make Some Tombstones

You can also buy simple cardboard tombstones from an online Halloween catalog store. They have pre- made stones that are ready for you to set up. Some tombstones are made of cardboard and some are made of foam. These tombstones can be pre-assembled or you might have to put them together with the help of clips or glue. They might even be attached to a wooden stake that you just have to stick in the ground.

How ever you decide to get your tombstones, when you have them, place them where you want them in your yard. Wow, it's starting to look pretty good, you are almost done! Put some leaves in front of each stone, so it looks like a burial mound. Get some fake spiderweb material and string it from one stone to the next. Use some glow in the dark paint to decorate the cemetery a little...don't over do it, you want it to look macabre.

Make Some Shadows

If you have any spot lights in your yard, why not set them up in the back of the tombstones. Don't use too many, and make sure the wires are hidden safely away so no one trips over them. The lights will create some shadows in your graveyard and make it look spooky. You will only need one light for three or four headstones, so don't over do the light...it won't be scary if you do.

Get Some Body Parts

Get an old shirt or some gloves and fill them with newspaper or leaves. Have them hanging out of the burial mounds, like the dead who are buried there are rising. You can buy some bones, unless you happen to have a skeleton already laying around, and place them around the Halloween graveyard you have made in your front yard.

Welcome To The Graveyard

Now if you are a more experienced graveyard maker, you know exactly what to do. Just keep adding on to your gory burial scene each year, and before you know it you will become "The Graveyard" house everyone wants to go see! You can even add some scary Halloween music to your grave scene to give people the chills when they go by.

It's fun and easy to make a graveyard in your front yard at Halloween, so give it a try. You can make a project out of it and get the entire family involved.

Ideas For Indoor Halloween Decorations

Indoor Halloween decorations can really add some frightening fun to your party at home or office. Halloween is a holiday that many people of all ages enjoy. Because of that, however, you need to choose a theme that's appropriate for the age group of the attendees. If you are entertaining little kids, you don't want the decorations to be too scary or gory. Spooky creatures can appear harmless and funny too. If the party is for teens or adults then you can go with just about anything depending on your taste.

Gory Halloween Decorations

Personally, I really like ghosts and Jack O'Lanterns. Those are a must for me when decorating for my favorite holiday. Wall Halloween decorations can add a chilling flair to any room or office. You can find a large poster of a pumpkin, ghost, or skeleton with movable arms and legs. My little girl likes witches and she has a big poster of a witch stirring her cauldron in her bedroom.

Cobwebs are classic indoor Halloween decorations. My daughter also likes them and has some in her bedroom along with spiders that glow in the dark. These little Halloween ornaments come in the form of other creatures such black cats, bats, vampires, and more.

A while ago decorative lights were used mostly for Christmas. However, today you can also use them as part of your outdoor or indoor Halloween decorations. They usually come in orange or red, and you can also find lights in the shape of various Halloween objects like ghosts and Jack O'Lanterns.

While you can buy fancy indoor Halloween decorations in large department stores, you don't have to spend a lot of money on them if you are on a tight budget. You can make some yourself. It just takes a little imagination and creativity. If you have kids, you can make it a fun Halloween craft project. Like one time my daughter and I made our own little ghost. First we made a ball out of paper, then we placed it inside an old white pillow case and tied a string around it. Next we shredded the bottom part to create the raggedy and spooky look, and drew a scary face. Finally, we cut a hole above the head and inserted a string for hanging.

Those are just a few ideas for some indoor Halloween decorations. You can come up with more of your own. Just browse the stores for some fun Halloween craft ideas. If you find something that appeals to you, see if you can create something similar yourself or with your children for less than half of the price. Whatever you do, make this Halloween a festive one.
